Circuit Training
Circuit training is a challenging workout where you do multiple exercises, each for 30 seconds to 5 minutes in a faced-paced sequence, one after another with little to no rest between the exercises.
The usual format for circuit training has participants begin at particular exercise station. Each station features an exercise to work a specific muscle group. The participant will work the exercise for the allotted time and then move to the next station. Examples of the exercise routine could be to work with weights for a muscle-strengthening activity, alternating with an aerobic activity, or all strength training, or all aerobic training.
One of the benefits of circuit training is variety. Variety is helpful for getting in shape. It keeps the body guessing which is beneficial in avoiding weight loss or fitness plateaus. Circuit training helps to increase your strength and aerobic fitness and helps to burn calories at an accelerated rate. It also helps to alleviate boredom because of constant movement. Circuit training involves exercising all major muscle groups in one continuous cycle. Doing the alternating exercises allows for muscle recovery and will make your heart work harder. According to the American Counsel on Exercise circuit training the result is that it will increase muscular strength and improve cardiovascular endurance all at once.
